Abacus Care (Cleveland and Durham) is an independent franchise of Abacus Care (Homecare & Nursing Services) Ltd, one of the largest agencies of its kind in the U.K. Quality, speed and efficiency with a uniquely personal touch is the hallmark of the Abacus Care approach. Our family has 20 years experience in the Care industry. Operate 5 Residential Homes and previous to that we did operate Nursing Homes, so fully understand the problems caused by staff shortages especially in the Nursing sector where RGN and RMN nurses seem to be ever more scarce. We are continually investing in training and would provide the quality staff that you would expect.

Personal Service

Abacus Care (Cleveland & Durham) has been establisthed since 1999 and is run by Gareth and Gavin Nesbitt. The company has been awarded BS EN ISO 9001:2000.

Our trained Nurses and experienced Care Assistants are all interviewed, referenced and pin checked. All our current staff has now obtained an enhanced CRB disclosure that includes the POVA check and it is our policy that under no circumstances will any member of staff work without one.

We have a large bank of Qualified Nurses and Carer/Auxilliaries for you to use as a resource when you are short staffed. All of our staff have successfully completed in house training, which includes Moving and Handling, First Aid, Infection Control, Basic Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and Adult Abuse. We also have a training programme designed to help with all your individual training needs, this can be done at our training suite based at the office or alternatively at your establishment.

Abacus Care provides a friendly, professional service with the support and back up of a national company. Specialising in the provision of staff to hospitals, the mental health sector, nursing and residential homes.

We can arrange to visit you at your establishment to discuss any queries that you have or alternatively you can contact us. Home Care Abacus acre offer clients one to one care in their own home.
